Growing up I used to crowd around the local pinball watching others play because I kind of suck at the reflex type games but was nonetheless addicted to the mechanical beauty of pinball.Pros

1) Extremely faithful to the original tables down to the crappy sounding effects. If you are expecting noise free, clean-as-ice high-fidelity sound effects, this is not for you. I was actually pleasantly shocked to find even the sounds are genuine 'reproductions'. If you have heard those sounds, you will experience them here, exactly as before with the same imperfections.
2) Stunning tables. Every graphical details are there and makes you appreciate the amount of design that went into them by the designers and engineers that made them come to life.
3) Ball weight and feel. With another great video pinball like Zen Pinball (PS3), arguably the best pure-digital pinball out there, the balls in Zen feel smaller and glide too easily with little to no friction. The balls in Williams pinball feel just like their analog brothers and it's very hard to explain. They feel heavier and you can almost sense the effects of the ball rolling over the table. It is a much more tactile/analog feeling than Zen.

1) Most tables have only 2 customizable views: full and smart. Smart allows you to be a little closer to the table and it will auto-zoom when the ball goes to the deep end. Unfortunately, there are only 2 views for most tables.
2) Loading speed of the game, table selection screen, and tables themselves are slow. In fact, after every game, the game will perform a 'save' which takes 5 seconds. Nitpicking here but this is 2010, not 1999 and this is a PS3 with a hard drive, not a PSP with a memorystick. We want instant action, not loading screens.
3) Difficulty level. You get 3 balls. If the real games are hard, this game will present the same challenges. However, the stronger 'tilt' control does give you the chance to save more balls as compared to the real thing. Other than that, expect the same frustrations and relive the same horrors as you watch the ball drop helplessly down the middle as you frantically punch the flippers.
My favorite table is and has always been Fun House in Williams Pinball. That creepy clown is just, perfect. =) You have to play it to know what I mean. Fun House is also one of those tables that had a perfect balance between difficulty and genuine fun. It was the first table to make my mouth drop. Just writing about it brings a smile to my face and I'm sure others feel the same way.
In conclusion, this game has infinite replay value and is an excellent buy. If you have never played pinball before, be prepared, and if you are an old timer, just buy the game already as you will not regret it.
